What building style for Blood and Plunder?

What kind of buildings would appear in French or English Caribbean colonies?  It seems to Spanish might have favored the stucco style, but what of the other powers?  What would the buildings of a French or English or Dutch colony looked like?  Would they have copied the Spanish style?  Or appear identical to European buildings of the same period with more wood?  What materials would have been available to build with?  Might a colony have several different styles as it was captured by one power and then lost to another?  My favorite faction at the moment is the French Militia, and I would like some appropriate buildings and terrain for them to defend.

I've no idea how old these buildings are but at some point someone has tried to reproduce the old world in the Dutch West Indies (Willemstad in Curaçao in this picture):

Those Willemstad buildings are first decade of the 18th century - circa 1710 or a bit earlier).

Nice imagery - just don't go for the modern brilliant hues!  That would be very out of period.
