VSF-y GW Tank
« on: June 09, 2009, 01:38:29 AM »
This is another one I just made for my Norwegian forces.  I had an old GW Griffon, which is a mobile mortar based on tehir Chimera chassis that I had sitting around heavily modified, but had never actually finished. So, I painted it for my Norwegians.

In the back is where I dual-purposed the mortar to also be useable on my Aeronef (the cannon that is beside Mick in my current LPL entry, in fact).

Well, I was looking at it and thought to myself, 'hey, how could I make that more VSF usable as a crew carrier or tank?'...well, this is what I did.

The "box" is removable still, so that I can still use this as a Griffon Mortar Tank, but now it feels more VSF to me, and I could use it now as a troop carrier in a 40k game, much the same as my kitbashed 'TIEmeras'.

And, that would still allow me to use the tank for what I bought it for in the first place, about 15 years ago. A 'limo' for this guy...

I swear, one day I will actually finish painting that model. In fact, I think I will do that tonight.
Ah, the only good part about being unemployed - time to paint and model.

That is certainly making the most use out of one vehicle!  :)
Good thinking, that man.

I was only thinking the other day how great it would be for the baneblade to get some landship modification!
