Some more Celtic mythology models for OGAM
« on: February 16, 2019, 05:28:48 PM »
Here’s a few new and old Celtic myth figures that I’ve been photographing today. There’s a very nice Celtic chieftain that I picked up from Northstar last year (hidden away in their Celtic myth/ fantasy range), a couple of nasties from Alternative Armies, and a pair of chariots from the olden days; these are ok but I’m seriously tempted to upgrade them with the new Victrix chariots. All these will be appearing in our Of Gods And Mortals game at Hammerhead in a couple of weeks- all welcome to come and play.

The background is a download from Jon Hodgson’s patreon site (he’s just created a tier just for miniatures backgrounds). https://www.patreon.com/join/jonhodgsonmaps?

Great photos of some fabulous models.

I might pick up those Alternative armies ones. I'm interested in the new edition of The Woods coming out soon and these would be perfect.

Excellent looking figures. I like the Cyclops and Celtic Chief there.

Great painting yet again.

The Celtic Chieftan you've got in the first photo is too good. I went and ordered one thanks to you - it could easily be used in a historical setting as well, I think!

I've been trying to resist doing a Celtic myth project for years, and you're not helping!  >:(  (Gorgeous work!)

Thanks all! It’s nice that I’m not the only person out there who likes this stuff. Hopefully it’ll all make it on to the table for the Hammerhead show in two weeks.

Completely agree that the Celtic chieftain would fit a historical setting - though you’d need more La Tene style Celts to back him up.
