Woodbine and Copplestone Gurkhas
« on: February 17, 2019, 11:03:57 AM »
I have the Copplestone Brits and Sikhs and like them very much. I am toying with the idea of adding some Gurkhas to my force but to be honest the Copplestone Gurkhas don't excite me too much, all the other units have that similar "advancing" pose too.
The Woodbine Gurkhas are in pretty exciting poses but are they compatible in terms of rifle and equipment size?
I am going to build a wargames army, a big beautiful wargames army, and Mexico is going to pay for it.

May I refer you to my ongoing Jazz Age NWF project:

Not a man afraid to mix ‘n’ match our Hammers. Brigade and Copplestone mix well, Eureka Gurkhas are much more Nepalese in stature. From the odd Woodbine Turk I have, I’d say they would stand service with the first two, preferably in separate units.

Personally speaking I like the Copplestone Gurkhas. They look like proper, pukka, elite light infantry. No silly gymnasts or ballet poses.
