Men in Black.

Paint restoration completed on a 20mm unit of Austrians painted as the Brunswick 1st Line Infantry. Flag is hand painted on an old coke can.

Very nice.
And the glorious general led the advance
With a glorious swish of his sword and his lance
And a glorious clank of his tin-plated pants. - Dr. Seuss

My latest shiny figures finished today.

Both of these are original Hinton Hunt figures. Picton has been painted with scarlet coat, rather than black, based on HH original painting instructions which can be found on Clives Hinton Hunter blog.

My Classic Napoleonics have been out on manoeuvres. In all the collection consists of 10 infantry battalions each of 24 figures, 4 cavalry regiments of 12 figures, 6 batteries of artillery with 4 crew. There are also 4 companies of skirmishes each of 6 figures. Finally there are 7 generals and a few odd single figures.

In all there are 347 figures mostly Hinton Hunt, both original and recasts, Alberken, Les Higgins and Garrison and the odd Rose and Douglas figure.

Having seen these troops in the flesh last weekend I can confirm that they are gorgeous figures, the photo's don't do them justice. Excellent work Mark.
They will not force us,
They will stop degrading us,
They will not control us,
We will be victorious!!

Outstanding!  Brings back a lot of War game memories from my younger days.  Only your figures are far better then anything we played with back then.  Thank you for sharing here with us.

And a period feel

I use full strength bleach to remove old paint an varnish.

Here is  Brunswicker pre bleach.

And after a 8 hour bleach he is a good as new and you can see the detail. Not bad for a figure that is probably 50 years old.
