I have finished 12 Chasseur Flankers using Alberken/Early Minfigs French Voltigeurs for this unit. I bought these nearly 50 years ago from BMW models in Wimbledon. The last photo shows my how I painted figures as a youngster.
Painted as Austrians in circa 1972/73.

Finished the last 12 figures needed for my Chasseur Flanquers. Alberken/Minfigs except the Standard Bearer and Drummer which are Hinton Hunt recasts.

Those bring a smile to my face. I don't know why, but I really want to hold the models and feel their lovely glossy heavy toy-soldiery-ness.

Got a quick dining table game in with my son this afternoon. It took him 2 hrs to defeat my French.

Another game of 'Charge' with my son Max this afternoon. He won - again.
A short report can be perused on my blog.

Excellent figures brings back memories. Your troops seemed to be all singly based? Does it take long to move the figures each turn?
