Well, I've finished the first one (the one on the left) as you can see:-

It measures up quite well with the real Artizan ones though I am still not happy with the length of its arms - particularly the left one.
I don\'t know whether to be a good example or a horrible warning.

this is excellent. the miniature looks really nice.
what gun did you use?
how much are you going to save over all?
and the arms look fine. i often fine you get goofy looking poses in metals.

Thanks for your encouragement, TW

The gun was from my bits box and comes from an em-4 Miniatures that I re-armed some years back (see the bottom figure at http://www.em4miniatures.com/acatalog/SCAVENGERS.html).

Saving isn't the issue so it's not something I've thought about. I wanted a few more poses and to give some of the cultists knives and clubs so that what the other five will have.

Great job :-*
Very inspirational.  8)
The arms look fine :-*
I have the artisan cultists and like you I didn’t like the limited number of poses.
Seeing your thread I may try this myself sometime.
Another project added to the very, very long list. :'(
Great work.

I'm very impressed - the two figures work very well together! Fair enough, the arms are a little long, but there are far too many experienced professional figure sculpters who repeatedly do this, so with yours being a first time attempt, I wouldn't worry about it. I would certainly be happy to use your figures.

The really good news is that you will improve with each figure you do, so in a few months time the results should be amazing.

Great stuff  :)

That's the most alternative use I've seen of Victrix new napoleonics yet.  lol

You could probably use any old lying around plastic mini for this... use an orc to make a brute.

That matchs rather well. He's a little tall and looks to have bell-bottoms, but otherwise I think he looks the part.

Thanks for all your kind words, people.
I agree about the bagginess of his trousers. Originally the trousers were rather thin but I rather overdid it.
With the arm-length problem, I think that I will try using Victrix arms with the hands from the GW figures and see how that goes.

One thing I keep forgetting to mention is how good the Victrix plastic is to work with. I don't know how it is different but it is far easier to work with compared with GW and Warlord.
