Tuft style shrubs
« on: February 25, 2019, 12:33:54 AM »
I came across these "shrubs" which are done the same way as the sticky tufts out there by many manufacturers and wondered if anyone has seen these applied to figure or terrain bases? I was thinking of using them as low lying shrubs on forest bases.

I use a similar style of tufts on terrain bases and the odd figure base as well.

Geez Barry, those look fantastic (as does your scenery in general)!  :o

I'll have to get some and experiment a little.

Thanks!

I made similar shrubs but a little bigger and a little more irregular inspired by this guys product.

I lay a base layer of 2 mm static grass, followed by some 4 and/or 6 mm them some 12mm. Spray paint it dark grey or brown then flock with either scenic express SuperLeaf, Noch leaves or Woodland Scenics turf. They came out looking like this (not as nice as the pros but workable):
