That's awesome now where to find that style of vinyl?
I looked for this s9rt of thing for a long time without success. Maybe these things find you, rather than the other way around?!

To be honest I'm not sure - the box label just days 'Pattern Number HY-874 Grey Small Mosaic Tile'

That is a great use of those tiles. I used to own a set myself, but I think I either sold them or gave them away.

For anyone who is interested, and lives in the UK, you can find those tiles here:

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2M-Any-Size-Quality-Vinyl-Flooring-Tiles-Non-Slip-Kitchen-Bathroom-Lino-Cushion/280801794877?var=580065163074&hash=item4161175b3d:g:y-4AAOSwV-RXFAYz

£19.99 for 36x 12" x 12" tiles is the cheapest deal they have

Made some rubble for obstacles on the tiles.

Simple mix of aquarium gravel, caulk and PVA put into small piles on a plastic sheet.  Once the mix had dried, peeled off the sheet and dry brushed with greys and creams to match the tiles, then a bit of flock was added to represent earth and moss growth in the same way as the tiles.

The piece bottom middle in the first photo is designed to fit wall to wall across a corridor piece.

And now to make a load more.  Some will be made in formers so that they fit to corners and edges.

Yes, very cheap indeed, probably a few pence of material in each.  They also pretty quick to make, put the three ingredients into a pot and mix them round, then spoon out little lumps of the mix and flatten.

It works well, it may have to try it out.

Started making some more rubble, this time with some blue foam blocks in the PVA/Caulk/Gravel mix

Blocks are 10x10x20mm and 10x10x10mm and have been roughed up by shaking them in a plastic box with some stones

Gave them a spray of Water/PVA (70/30) mix to help it all bond as it dries.

Very nice all 'round. Many thanks to tikitang for the link to the tiles on E-Bay (now just need to see how painful the shipping to our rock in the English Channel is going to be) . . . .
