Blenheim - British cuff colours?
« on: March 10, 2019, 06:08:19 PM »
Hello All

I've just started on Peter Dennis' War of Spanish Succession Paper soldiers and I should colour the British infantry cuffs according to regiment.  I can't find a list - could anyone point me in the right direction.

Many thanks

I use this site

http://www.thewaroffice.co.uk/Blenheim/Index.htm

The only thing I would point out is that some of the links appear broken - they aren't BUT any of the links involving the word "Württemberg" involve an umlaut (sp?) and the browser bar doesn't recognise it. All I do is replace the umlauted U with an unumlauted U and the links work fine.

Sorry for inventing words but I hope my description makes sense.

A slight word of warning. Both of these sites are full of errors or inventions as a lot of the details are unknown.

Well if there are known unknowns then I'm less worried about getting it all wrong.

Thanks

Mark Allen has just published a book on the French, English and Dutch, taken and improved from his old articles in WI. I am anxiously waiting on my copy to arrive next week, as it was just released the 14th. That might be a very good help.
