15mm ACW for Johnny Reb II
« on: March 22, 2021, 10:50:39 PM »
Seeing a few ACW games on FB has caught my 15mm ACW Mojo again. I primed this lot about 3-4 years ago, and could not find my command units (bought in a B&B 5 years ago). Today looking for some 28mm Agincourt Knights, I found the commands underneath them. On the right will be 5 20 man butternut units and on the left 3 20 man Union and a further 15 man Reb unit. I still have another 150 or so still to paint. The units on the bench will take the Union up to 45 Regiments and the Rebs up to 34. The last pic were some units I needed for a campaign, which I just slapped some colour on them! All based for Johnny Reb II

The black bases are for the commands. These are mainly Front Rank (Right) and Battle Honours (Left), yep BH, had these at least 15 -20 years in the stash!

The Commands that went AWOL for 5 years!

A few extras that were with the Command

Need finishing and basing!
If it isn't enjoyable, it isn't gaming!

JR II is a fun set of rules and an improvement over the first edition.  Many of the mechanics have been streamlined for faster(and easier) play.

Part of March Club Challenge, North Carolina Brigade. Four 20 man and one 15man Regiments, all done in Butternut using a wide Pallette mix and also brown and black washes withing the units. 15mm Mostly Front Rank with some old Battle Honours. All based for Johnny Reb II.
