Star Wars Style Building
« on: March 13, 2019, 11:55:20 AM »
I bought an MDF Star Wars style building recently at the ROBIN Wargaming convention and finished it off the other day. There's more photos and information on my blog (click the link):

Nicely painted, I like the weathering. Where did the Gronk Droid come from?

Thanks Bahir! The droid came from Heer46, part of their very small, but nice Star Wars range: https://www.heer46shop.de/49373/working-droids-

Well done; that's a nice looking building, that can be used in all kinds of Star Wars locales! 8)

And thanks for the heads-up on the Heer miniatures; I was not aware of this line :)  How do they scale, compared with Imperial Assault, Legion or WotC miniatures?
Miniatures you say? Well I too, like to live dangerously...

Cheers, I tried to make it as generic as I could, so it can be used for other things as well, like Judge Dredd.

The Heer46 range is very small, but the radio operator figure scales well with Legion (32mm) as do the droids. I think the IA and WotC stuff might be a bit too small for them.

That's too bad, as I'm already heavily invested in WotC miniatures  ::)

The mini I am most interested in though is 'The Lizard'; the not-Rogue One assault team member. But since he's a non-human, the scale difference might not be as jarring.

And yeah; your building could also work in a lot of different (scifi) settings. Pretty smart to keep it as generic as possible... :)

That's very nice - I like MDF buildings when it makes sense (i.e it's representing hard surfaces and panels) - this is a great example.
