Dyi Killteam board
« on: March 17, 2019, 11:27:20 AM »
Hello again all,
If you want a board for less than 5€ , here is what you should do.

I took photos of my Necromunda/ Wh40k flat terrain, cut & pasted them into a larger than 22" x 30" pdf .
I found a very good app called " PosteRazor", which divides a large pic into A4's according to what you want the final size to be .
Then printed them at the local printer on a laser jet ( photographic quality) , well worth the 30 cents I am charged for each A4 & stuck them on to a large piece of card.

Then I gave it a coat of white glue for protection.
The hexagonal buildings are turkish delight boxes covered with the same print as the board & they fit neatly into each other for saving space.

There's another website you can use for that called Rasterbator to chop up images. More fun to tell someone what you were doing on the internet with that one.

Aside from that, those look great. So was that card terrain you took a photo of or was it stuff you have painted (You said flat terrain but I was unsure). Very effective nonetheless.

Thanks Beedcake,
haha That's a good one :D :D :D ..

I simply laid the plastic walkways one next to each other ( which are basically flat terrain ) took loads of photos & cut & pasted them on the Pc.

As you can see it is very effective, cheap & saves a lot of time.
Whilst 3d terrain is obviously the  best , high res photos are good also.

This was a good tip since I'm still laboring under the delusion I might get to doing this kind of project sometime down the line 8)
