Napoleonic Naval in 40 mm completed
« on: November 15, 2020, 11:46:22 AM »
Hi Everyone
Slightly misleading title as I now have to paint English and US Marines and naval crew - anyway I bought the ship models from eBay - chopped the bottom off them and created waterline models - I’ve also finished the sea boards - the ship painting was a nightmare as they were already pre rigged = nightmare to paint
The Gribeauval fortress gun is a 40mm model by Speira miniatures - it’s a 3D print and the quality is excellent

Amazing - what rough scale do you think those ships are  ?
Are they one off models or from an available range ?

Wow, that’s Brilliant. Hopefully there will be some shows next year where you we can see them close up.

Incredible model and painting! Makes me want to go grab my O‘Brian collection again.

You know, however, that sadly in a realistic tabletop representation of combat, cannon balls will have to tear through that beauty, right?  lol

What does 40mm equate to in terms of scale (as in 1/XX)?
