I wasn't aware of that range of figs. They're fantastic. Good luck with the project.

There's something very endearing about those figures and your paint jobs really make them pop.

Nice work on a very characterful range of figures.
 :-*

Have you considered looking at other toon-like ranges to add to them once you have finished this line?
After a bit of recent research following making my cave-folk I have found a few interesting options that may work well, the Warheads range for one, although I do not know how they will look side by side...

I am certainly eyeing up their boars.

Lovely work as always from you.
Could you photograph a toon next to a regular miniature, I'm looking to buy some but I'd like to know the actual size before I plump for this particular line as they're pricey.

How old are your daughters?  I've been trying to come up with a game that will get my 8 year old grand daughter interested.  Those would work perfectly with Song of Blades and Heroes.

There are already a number of Nightfolk from Northumbrian Tin Soldier that play with this gang.

They are 7 and 8. The older and I have been playing SoBaH for a year or so, but we switched to Rangers of Shadow Deep to get more of an RPG feel.

I'l try to get one tonight! The heroes are pricey, but the troops are not too bad.

Thanks for the comments! More to come, including a proper BatRep soon!

Nick,
I have five kids (three moved out and number 4 off to study law in September.)youngest is 7 .
We also Foster . My go to game was always heroquest.small game on dungeon crawl tiles rather than the board. OP the characters and play to loose with dozens of monsters be over dramatic when your horde is being annihilated.
We still get strange looks from social workers (new ones.) When the kids say they've been playing D&D.
My older kids still game even after discovering alcohol and the opposite sex. ( infact they've found a boardgaming pub!)

Lead Asbestos has found a way to engage with some charming little figures.which he's putting a lot of effort into and no doubt they'll be loved by his girls.

A word of warning if your kids are as competitive as mine NEVER play monopoly. There will be blood.

Rangers of Creepy Deep, Scenario 1: The Deserted Village. My girls are loving Harry Potter right now, so I knew it was time to strike, while the iron is hot! We are going to play a gentler version of the campaigns from the excellent RPG-lite Rangers of Shadow Deep, made less scary and more kid-friendly 😉 Mom played too, while I took the sorta GM role. Everyone had a fine time! Next up, the Spider Trees, and then down into the Caverns of the Frog King. Minis are from the amazing Toon Realms line from Lucid Eye, all but Aventine and the rats.
