porcupine and Beaver
« on: June 14, 2009, 05:17:43 PM »
Seen the difficulty to find animals, I decided to try to make them myself. I told well "to try" because I have sculptor's talent of some. Thus the first one who is not the easiest: a porcupine first photo (he(it) is not finishes)  :-I

Yes, but I shall be satisfied when he(it) will be finishes.
As for the size(cutting) of the animal, it is good if I remember well.
I have already had the opportunity to see one in a wildlife park.
Ah I forgot, everything the advice(council) on the sculpture is welcome. Thank you

Oui,je ne voulais pas dire qu'il était trop petit, mais qu'il était vraiment petit et que dès lors la sculpture est encore plus impressionante. Evidemment, çà devient moins clair si tout le sens de la phrase est dans la partie non-dite. ;)

It's cute, just like a real procupine. I just hate how they remind me of guinea pigs. Their look says "cuddle me", but that wouldn't be very wise ::)

Great work
Far less active than I used to...

That is really nice! I like the proportions, very well done. Maybe you could glue some brush bristles (hairs) or thin wire onto the neck to have some of his spines raised.
