Cheers! Here are some infantry to support those tanks:

And a detail shot:

Fun to paint as always, the new 40mm frontage makes it much easier than on my previous circular bases. Vehicles will continue to go on round ones though.

The eagle eyed amongst you will have no doubt spotted a new and fully painted piece of scenery! One of Jagannath’s scenic 15mm scale pieces, a perfect silo at this scale.

Thanks for looking and stay safe.

They look great - is that basically an epic base with double the number of infantry on it? When I eventually tackle 3mm I think I'm going to do big bases, each with a platoon.

I'm chuffed to see another piece in the wild - looks cool! That's a really nice blue.

These are lovely, very tidy too! Some of the tanks are so detailed if you didn't tell me they were 3mm I'd suspect 6!

Really tempted to do 3mm Sci Fi and Moderns/Cold War. Scale makes a lot of sense in many ways for big ops but its clear its still early days for 3mm, I haven't seen loads of terrain for instance.

@Jagannath: Thanks! The base had the 40mm frontage but is 15mm deep which gives the figures a bit of room..... and makes it less likely for them to get painted over with basing gunk!

@Brummie: Thank you very much! The vehicle detailing is frankly ridiculous, but great considering that I get bored painting vehicles at 6mm scale and up. For Sci Fi the scenery is not to much of a problem, there is plenty of opportunity for junk modelling and the humble bottle top is surprisingly versatile. I’m also in the process of painting up  some more of Mr Jagannath’s 15mm scenery (blue silo thingy behind the infantry) and a random half space rocket/snoopy spinny thing from a happy meal has potential!
