[BrS] finnish aif force squadron
« on: March 27, 2019, 02:32:58 PM »
I started Blood Red Skies a few month back and got really dragged into this fast and fun game.

Sadly Warlord games does not produce my favorite ww2 planes so I got myself some AIM ones.
The second squadron I´m finished is this finnish one of 1/LeLv 24.

The alternative versions of the decals came from miscminis.

hope you enjoy, cheers

If I had those in my cabinet I'd look at BRS as well!!!

The main/only reason I don't waste a single moment on the game so far is the fact that I prefer the real obscure stuff (Finnish, Italians, Hungarians, etc).  Until I see the game expand into the lesser theaters, it's a pass for me.

Fabulous work btw, they look amazing!

Thanks.

On the facebook group there are a lot of beta stats for
Planes not produced by Warlord. But until warlord will turn
Attention on those I think we have to wait.

Sorry for my ignorance in the matter, but what manufacturer are they?  AIM?  Doesn't ring a bell...

What scale should I be looking at for BRS?

Thanks!  What do you do for flight stands (IIRC, BRS uses proprietary ones)???  Also, with regards to flight stands, what do you do then with the screw at the bottom of the casting?

I once bought a cheap set of BRS spitfires I do not use. The flight stands are for both my squadrons. I removed the screw and cut away the casting around it and
put one of these hawk wargames plastic adapters  for aircraft and spaceships (DZC/DFC) in the hole. (You have to either drill the hole wider or file awa some of the hawk thing)
I got these from a friend but I think you can get them via amazon or ebay, they fit perfectly on the stands.

I found Hawk flight stands with adapters, but not adapters separately.  It's a start.  Honestly, I'm even thinking about just using a chit/token to differentiate the stance.

You've got me all wired now to try this...my wife now doesn't like you;-)

Now I need to locate unofficial plane stats for the ones I want to use...

The best way for this would be to ask Andy and Ken in the BrS FB group.

They look great.
"Peace" is that brief, glorious moment in history when everybody stands around reloading.
