What we have so far for definite in the project is:

•   Ski-doo kit (metal & resin kit)
•   Gyrocopter (metal & resin kit)
•   Medium SnowCat & Trailer (MDF & Card Kit)
•   Large SnowCat (Resin Kit)
•   Arctic Science researchers (4 fig pack)
•   Skiers (4 fig pack)
•   Arctic soldiers (4 fig pack)
•   Sub Conning tower breaking through ice (MDF, Card, 3-Decals and resin)
•   Arctic research station (MDF & card)
•   Jamesway Hut – Accommodation (MDF & card)
•   Tramp steamer kit for Ice Bound Ship
•   Printed Whiteout Rulebook
•   Printed Whiteout cards

Marks just started on the first couple of stretch goals, as I'm pretty certain this is going to be popular.

This is the full list of stretch goals, how many we get done will be dependent on how much interest there is in the project.

•   Ice Station Zebra Character Pack
•   Soviet Paratroopers in Arctic Kit
•   Character pack based on ‘The Thing’ (1950's and 1980's versions)
•   Dog Sledge Pack
•   Man pulled sledge pack
•   Arctic wildlife pack
•   Crashed Satellite / Camera Objective Marker (resin)
•   Expedition dome tent (resin)
•   28mm DB5 kit - maybe not for use on the ice put it fitted with the spy-fi theme!

Plus terrain boards and opportunity to pick up previous classic movie miniatures, sets, props and locations at a discount.
Lots more ideas for stretch goals depending on level of support that we get.

Dammit - I don't currently need any of these, but I think I might want them.

I love the original version of "The Thing", so parts of this might just be irresistible.  >:(
Enjoying the game is ALWAYS more important than winning the game.

Concept of an expedition is similar, but Whiteout is a Solo/Co-Op miniatures game.
Our Kick starters are always very flexible so as well as pledges for different groups of products we have a £1 pledge where you can just add whatever add-ons you might like from the campaign.

That’s great. Of course, I would like to buy everything, but sadly that probably isn’t a realistic possibility, and the game looks interesting. (I hope noting the similarity to “Lost Expedition” did not appear negative) Love the concepts for the stretch goal figures. This is a great KS in my opinion.

Not at all, Ann & I have played 'Lost Expeditions' a lot. It's a favorite when we are away in camper van. We normally die horribly, it's not an easy game to win.

Chris asked me to add a sneaky peak photo of one of the Soviet para figures. Whilst the Mrs is getting ready (off out for lunch and to see a farrier.)I thought I'd add the pic.

I should have mentioned yesterday that we unlocked another stretch goal.
Explorers hauling sledges.
This is a pack of different explorers hauling two single man sledges, sculpted by Mark.

We've now just got a week to go on the Whiteout Kickstarter.

Looks like I failed to mention last week a couple of the stretch goals that got unlocked in the first couple of days.

We had.. Officers & Spies

and a crashed re-entry module.

If there is anything that you would like for polar or glacier based gaming that we've not got covered, shout up and we'll see what we can do to add it as a stretch goal.

Whiteout - Satellite Recovery mission

On Friday night Doug, John and I got together for first playtest game of Richard Humbles 'Whiteout' Arctic survival rules.

As this was the first game we had played, we decided to use the standard character types provided with the rules

The game makes use of three decks of cards for maximum replay value of the scenarios. These are the terrain, encounter and equipment decks. At the start of the game the explorers start on a single tile (either 10" or 12" square), when they cross the tile edge onto a new one the top card from the terrain deck is flipped and that type of terrain is laid out. The explorer is moved 1" onto the tile and the top card from the encounter deck is flipped

Just a quick reminder that there in now less than 12 hours until the end of Classic Movie Miniatures Episode 3:Whiteout Kickstarter campaign. A stack of new models have been added to the campaign including a DB5, miniatures inspired by the 1950's and 1980's versions of 'The Thing', Soviet Paras in Arctic Kit and loads more pulpy / spy-fi miniatures, vehicles and terrain.
