I am on the hunt for seated figures for the Old West - both for wagon drivers and for wagon passengers as well as other uses like sitting and waiting at the train station.  Also, I'd like both men and women seated.  I am aware of the option of using HO figures but I'm hoping for specific Old West metal castings.

I do know of Old Glory 25's ECW pack of wagon and cart drivers with some seated.

Any and all useful help greatly appreciated.  Remember, please, 15 mm or 18 mm in size.

Thank you!

Well, the Peter Pig idea might work - but not the Blue Moon.  I have some of both and the Blue Moon figures are already in chairs which won't work for my little project but those Peter Pig rowers just might work.

Thanks for the input - hadn't made the cross connection (well, not yet, and now you get all the credit!  :D)

Minifigs has a stagecoach with 15mm seated passengers

Minifigs also had IIRC a Boer wagon , two wheeled affair with a female seated figure. Wearing a bonnet. Sadly I can't find the link.

They also have ACW Limber riders.

QRF has a stagecoach with passengers.

If you contact any of them for just the passengers, they are very helpful.

shadowbeast.  Thanks!  While I know HO is generally a bit big for even 18 mm figures (though others use them), I figure it will be less of a deal with seated figures.  Besides, I will probably have to get the whole range of HO western figures - too many cool poses to add to the storylines.  Have to debate the horses and longhorns, already have plenty of those but, well, maybe.

Any chance you have some shots of the HO figures next to 18 mm figures?

If you use 1/100 Preiser seated figures they will be close to the 15mm.

No worries, Shadow, I contacted Knuckleduster and got a very quick response and sounds like they will work out okay - even though no images.  If I do get them, I will certainly try and get comparison shots up.  Don't hold your breath, please, I don't want anyone's demise on my hands!  :o

Zinged off an order today to Knuckleduster for some of their HO figures, multiples of the seated figures.  And just in case they don't work out, I've ordered some Bluemoon ECW carters and drivers (half of the packs are sitting) that I can adapt if needed.  Also made a special request for some of the figures from the Bluemoon stagecoach and the drivers for the doc buggy and buckboard.  Hope they accommodate the special requests.

Also ordered some WWI wagons that I plan to adapt for Old West use - but you'll just have to wait for reveals on that front!  :D

As promised, now that the Knuckleduster figures have arrived, here is a comparison photo:

A couple more shots and thoughts on the blog - though the visual speaks a lot by itself.

Here is the blog link:

Welcome thoughts on their usability despite the size disconnect.

I used the Minifig stagecoach in my Wild West collection.  It's a good looking piece.  You can see it in three of the last four pictures in my 15mm Wild West Gallery.  Just scroll down my gallery page.  My Wild West Gallery is near the bottom of my gallery page on the left hand side at www.warin15mm.com
