Very atmospheric. The gryphon is an especially fine looking beast.

This is going to maybe sounds a bit counter-intuitive, but I'm noticing your painting has become slightly cleaner over the course of this thread. By which I mean the details read more clearly without in any way compromising your style or the individual colour & tone choices.

Rather a long-winded way of saying you're getting better and better at this.  :D

Where's that gryph-doggo from, by the way?

Another +1 on loving the figures and being especially enamoured with the lil' gryph.

For those asking about the figure, they're found in various Stormcast sets, but normally wingless. Wings look like the ones from the Warcry Raptoryx I think, a.k.a. honkasaurus, the chaotic murder goose? Good fit at any rate, makes it look mightily majestic. Such a good boy.

Thanks everyone!

The gryph hound is from Warhammer Quest: Silver Tower, with Warcry Raptoryx wings added.

The Disgraced Knights are figures for my fantasy skirmish games, representing heavily armoured warriors with a chequered or outright dark past. These disreputable men and women can be found in armies of heathen warlords, border castellans, and rogue kings.

Check them all out in the new post at the Gardens of Hecate blog:

Back with a bang! This thread reads like an art gallery, there's just so much lovely eye candy to enjoy.
'Sir John ejaculated explosively, sitting up in his chair.' ... 'The Black Gang'.

I concur with Cubs. Wonderful conversions on the miniatures complimented by evocative brushwork.

Genuine art.

Cheers Cubs, Muzfish4 and Rick W.! These days I'm preoccupied with the book and Kickstarter and don't have much time to work on personal minis. I was happy to be able to finish these guys at last.

I'm just finishing a book myself at the moment. When I've done that I'm going to colour in another one.
