Plains Indians - Dog Soldier
« on: April 27, 2019, 08:48:09 AM »
I've made a start on a Plains Indian force for Legends of the old west using the lovely figures from Foundry. There are enough models in the collection with pre-gunpowder era weapons for me to run a warband for Tribal as well. There's a few more pictures on the Mana Press blog page http://www.manapress.com.au/plains-indians/

Nice paint jobs, plenty of color variety but still keeping it properly subdued to fit the period.

Foundry make proper looking Indians. Here's The Great Lame Beaver and his blood brother Smelly Moccasin...

I'd been putting off painting this bloke, bit daunted, on how to do his spear. You've done a brilliant job on him, thanks for the inspiration!

Thanks for the positive feedback. Yes, the tipi is art canvas and bamboo skewers. I plan to make a village of them, but what looked to be a simple build was more challenging than expected.

Jolly Nice.  Those cliffs in the background look rather good too.
