Quick French/Austrian question

I think I know the answer but I’d just like to check. Would the Victrix 1804-1807 French infantry work with the Perry 1809-1815 Austrians (early ones)?

I’m certainly not a fanatical button counter and usually go for a good looking game rather than complete figure accuracy but if it could be the case that I could just about get away with it then that would be preferable

The Austrians are wearing the later high waisted coat. If that doesn't bother you then put them in helmets and away you go. Or put them in a mix of helmets and shakos (as in 1809) and use later French in shakos. I'm sure it would look fine. Anyone anal enough to complain should be ignored.

The French Legere regiments did wear shakos at this period.
