Fairies and ravens! UPDATED
« on: 08 May 2019, 08:18:13 PM »
I’ve just noticed some rather nice ‘evil’ looking fairy dudes on another thread.
It’s got me wondering, who makes ‘nice’ fairy figures?
Or sprites perhaps?
I’m looking for quite small figures to use as a swarm so to speak.

Also, looking for raven type models?

Thanks

I have exactly the same problem.  Most fairies are just too big (otherworld, reaper).
I seem to recall Ral Partha Europe had some, as does Bad Squiddo.
Warlord has some winged pixies for fantasy football.
I have wondered about 15mm elves with wings attached.

I have a few more spare minutes before my clinic starts.

Bad Squiddo fairies are part of a Kickstarter

Ral Partha windlings:

Warlord

Stonehaven have some that look smaller than a usual 28mm figure, perhaps hobbit sized and are moderately expensive, especially if you want a horde of them.

I forgot that other than the larger Sylph and Dryad miniatures, Otherworld make "lesser" fairy folk:

Reaper has a couple of very small fairy types scattered through their many "familiar" packs.  Their new website is a bit of a nightmare at times, but the keyword search functions still seem mostly reliable, so fairy and familiar should get you close.

Bad Squiddo has you covered for ravens, too!

(I think my next hobby order might have to be to Bad Squiddo, so much cool random stuff...)

Reaper's got at least one, again in a familiar pack.  Used it for three different D&D campaigns worth of arcane spellcasters.

Reaper also have a flock of ravens (or a murder of crows) which is very nice.  I am in the process of starting to paint this.  Several of these could really look like a swirling mass of ravens.

Some of the various zombie games have plastic crows.
