Cheers chaps; the good old Vallejo German Infantry paint set again.
Looking at reference pictures the Aussie kit looked to me to be a lighter green than the USMC uniforms. I went with a base coat of 'German fieldgrey WW2', shaded with 'US Dark Green', then a field grey/khaki mix, a final highlight with some'German camo beige WW2' mixed in, and a very thin wash (filter) of 'olive green'.

Also did the 'bailed out tank crew' blokes

The one behind the barrel is just pinned to the base, as I thought he might look the part on a future vehicle.

I'd say that your faces are definitely getting better. That tends to happen with me, the more I paint, the better I get. If I stop painting then I have to start all over again, relearning techniques. I'm finding using a wash over a mid flesh tone, on the faces, tends to make it easier to pick the detail out. I'm nowhere near as good as some of the painters on the net but I'm happy with the results. Thanks for posting pics of your work!

Thanks Mr C; I'm definitly getting a bit better at attempting the eyes, still very hit and miss. They either look acceptable or utter shite, so I have got into the habbit of holding a larger damp brush between my teeth so I can try to remove the more 'bug eyed' results before the paint dries.
Looking at the pictures I think the last ones I posted could do with a bit of dirtying up, some dirt and grime shouldn't look too out of place...

Here's the last of the current batch.

I always seem to make the eyes too big so they look like Disney characters  lol

Then have to try and make them smaller. take a picture when finished and think that they are still too big.  o_o

You sir are a machine pumping these out at this speed.  ;)

Thanks guys, I'm (like everyone else) stuck at home and have had a very cathartic attack on the stash of unpainted stuff; mainly finishing of bits for old 20mm bush wars projects. Still got to do some bases for a couple of BRDMs, and found a 1/72 Puma which will get the SADF treatment for my little Op Uric force.

Real shame rest of the Aussie packs got held up as they look awesome; I hope there will be an SASR team at some stage with all the eclectic belt kits and weapon mods.

Other than that I have the rather super looking 28mm late WW2 Brit Vickers team from Empress, for which I found a little resin base ruin/thing that should hopefully work.
Also found a half done attempt at a scratchbuilt bunker, languishing in the now empty 'box of apathy'. It's still in the 'make-it-up-as-you-go' stage, but has proved a handy way of disposing of most of the oversized grass tufts I managed to make while back, between electric shocks off the bloody static grass applicator/torture device.

Here's where it's at so far:
