thanks guys, I added some more grass around the smaller plant, blends in better now and hides the glue.

Captain America is way cool!
Em dezembro de '81
Botou os ingleses na roda
3 a 0 no Liverpool
Ficou marcado na história
E no Rio não tem outro igual
Só o Flamengo é campeão mundial
E agora seu povo
Pede o mundo de novo

Thanks guys. Pilots arrived just catching up to the gunners with the painting, still WIP...

Not sure about Mr Rebel helmet, looks a bit crap so may redo it or something different.

Brilliant. I love the fact that we are all painting pilots with US, Texas, and Confederate helmets.  lol

Has to be done though. ;)

These are excellent, both the sculpts and your painting.

Ah, the Italeri Huey. Just been building one. Nice model but with the usual Italeri engineering problems. You are going to have fun getting the cabin upper roof to fit the sides. Mine took a bit of fiddling around and I still wasn’t entirely happy with the result. Putty was involved. I still have another to build at some stage. Were they not so expensive I would have gone the Kitty Hawk version which is by all accounts a more accurate kit and better build. Still the Italeri kit is miles ahead of the Revell UH-1B which isn’t even a B and is an appalling kit. Mine went straight to the parts bin for the Hobby Boss kits and I’m hoping to salvage enough of the fuselage to make a crashed objective piece.

By the by you need to cut out some plastic card armour for those crew seats. Standard on all Vietnam Hueys and absent in the Italeri kit. The head rests on the main cabin seats you might want to clip off as I can’t find any evidence of them on US or RAAF versions.

There’s a build guide to a brilliant Kitty Hawk Huey that’s useful in terms of detailing here:

Thanks Carlos.
Unfortunatly I glued the fuselage together last night so wont be getting back to the pilot seats, should be able to attack the head rest though.
Fuselage sides don't exactly line up very well, especially the tail section & the nose. Will be a lot of filling & filing and swearing ahead...

That's one great looking flight crew.
"Peace" is that brief, glorious moment in history when everybody stands around reloading.

Think I'm finished with this; 1/48 Italeri UH-1D with Empress crew.
