Great work as usual. :-*

When I was doing the US SF research I came across a 'true' story of a unit that had to hunker down as an NVA frolicked in the river. One of the MACV guys was armed with a STEN with silencer. He was a few feet away from the NVA guard left to look after the units weapons and decided to pop him off. However he realised the guard was doing something naughty under his rain cape and so could not bring himself to ruin the chaps day. Evidently it became quite a famous story within the unit.  There was a lot more detail in the story but I will not risk breaking the post rules to go into detail  lol

Other than chopping up the rather nice model in the SEAL pack (which is on my to-do list) does anyone make a Stoner 63 to fit 28mm ?

Bought another pack of the NAVY SEALs, to try some more minor conversions. Some to add to the previous SEALs, the rest counts as LRRPs etc.
My cunning plan this time is to try and remember to take some pictures along the way.

Got eight figures from the SEAL pack & pack NVA8.

Not a lot done to this one, just a head swap & some pockets on the trousers, added the base to his jacket, as it looked like he had a shirt tucked into jeans before.

Same with this one, head swap and added pockets (one of which looks like I squashed it, so will redo)

Not much on this bloke, just removed the 'butt-pack' and replaced with a canteen. Will paint in a different camo and try to make it look like he's wearing a waistcoat.

Removed the ammo boxes etc and added a back pack chopped off an NVA figure. Cut of the pouch ties and added more US looking straps.

Cut the Stoner chap in half and added the top (with head swap) to the NVA that donated the backpack, and used the legs on a previously running NVA, who got trouser pockets and new belt kit.

Lastly; chopped off silencer boi's legs, & gave them to another NVA bloke who recieved canteens and new straps on his bergen. The top half got a set of NVA legs, with added pockets and hopefully looks even more sneeky than before.

Very clever conversions.

Nice conversions mate, looking forward to seeing them painted up. I see you've added wire to the hand set, something I always do on my modern British and totally forgot on this figure.

I don't always think to do it (add the wire) & I probably don't make the coil tight enough (probably need to wrap the wire around a smaller drill bit.
Luckily this blokes radio already has the holes for adding aerial and handset cables as part of the cast.

Got a little bit of paint done
