First Carlist War Royal Expedition AAR

We had a large First Carlist War game on Saturday with nearly 40 battalions of foot plus of course supporting arms. We also used our heavily amended Black Powder rule set outside of Great Northenr War for the first time, a greta game as it turned out, write up and lots of pictures on the blog.

An excellent battle report.
A period that look like it would be fun to paint and play.
But I have way to many periods I have to paint to think about it.

Yes indeed, a great game.  I'm getting there in 15mm with forces for both sides so it's always good to read these AAR's.

Thanks very much, throughly enjoyed it, has rekindled my passion for this colourful period, arguing with myself over doing a Portuguese brigade to add to my Liberal forces.
