Looks good! A bit cheaper than the arguably more detailed but more expensive Gaso.line 1/48version. I think I want one of those. Any idea as to whether they plan on doing an actual Soviet-Afghan/ Chechnya up-armoured version?

To be fair you don't need to have them up-armoured for Chechnya/North Caucasus campaigns more generally. Even as late as the Second Chechen War they went in without ERA, and it didn't make much difference as a lot of the time the canisters were empty due to neglect/pilfering anyways.

(Also cracking paintjob!)

I think Carlos refers to the BDD armor rather than the ERA blocks.

The tank looks really nice, perfect for those (many) Chechen AT teams...

Ah my mistake, either way the TTM model works perfectly for Chechnya.

Indeed. There were also quite a number in both conflicts fitted with slat/bar armour.

Not sure if there any plans for additional armour tbh.
Still perfectly alright for Chechnya and Afghanistan I would have thought.

Lovely paint job. I have  couple on order for my first Chechen war internal troops. As said they were used out of the box . I think by second Chechen war and up to Georgia in 2008 there were more commonly up armoured examples

just to clarify....

there is no out of the box... despite the fact that ate least one soviet tank was shipped in a box... (the T-34 in the IWM, was shipped in a box...!). T-62 and -62A no armor, then you have the -62M with the BDD and different engines. Then you have the various modification kits around. the ERA is an applique.

Basically it goes down to plenty of manufacturers forgetting to version-label their models...  o_o
