I-Kore used too...I-Kore became Urban Mammoth...and Urban Mammoth sold them to Scotia Grendel:

Nice work on both entries but being a Junker player myself they hit a soft spot. Very nice weathering on the shields too!

What put me of junkers were their pseudo-roman colour scheme from their own pictures, it just looked silly, but like this they look much much better.

Yeah, I painted mine black and grey. I didn't like their later models with more extreme roman influences as much as the first stuff though. This scheme looks great too 8)

The older junker models are some of my all time favorites. Great work on them, nice weathering.

Yes the minis are from i-Kore's Void Junker Convict Legionnaires. Great models, a little smaller that today's hulking miniatures, but what would think, considering the sculpted, Kev White of Hasslefree fame...or is it infamy... I highly recommend the miniatures that KW puttied for i-Kore, including the Celtos line.

I had 3 more based and ready for the highlight, but with the round 10 around the corner, I decided to cut my losses and concentrate on just 5 models for round 9.

The UM Romanesque models are great, but I already have the void miniatures. I do like the red paint jobs, but with the cloth over the face, these models screamed desert theme.

I am glad you enjoy as much I enjoyed painting them.

With his entry, Chambers reinforces my growing belief that if you put together a nice squad, it is far better to get a really good closeup, even if it hides some of the minis, than to spread them out so that you can see each individual clearly.

I really need to put that philosophy to practise more...

Two very fine entries, BTW.

I must say that these are both very nicely done. I really like the bright colours on the Elves...nice choice in colour schemes. The Patrol group also look great, the shields look so battle scared and realistic. Well done to you both.
Victory is guaranteed to the last man standing, but always remember those whom you stepped on to get there!!
