Review : Victrix Vikings
« on: June 13, 2019, 06:10:47 PM »

It seems like forever since these were first announced, but finally I have mine and have put down a few thoughts, and more importantly some pictures on my blog.

A good review, I have started to paint up a few, the only problem I have been having is with the two handed/double handed axemen.
I have found that some it is best to stick the torso to the axe arms whilst still on the frame.

The GB heads also fit OK, some are a bit small, the extra heads I have glued a old round plastic sprue to them, to create a neck for metal figures like Westwind.

I like your idea of using them as Dunlendings.

I'd like to see them side-by-side with the Gripping Beast plastic vikings.

Great review there Nord … go on, you persuaded me, but 60 mins are way way more than I want. Luckily you can buy a single sprue on eBay for a fiver, so I thought I'd dip my toe.

Would the Oathmark Goblin heads be easy to fit onto the Victrix Viking bodies?

Looking forward to painting mine for the Viking raids of Brittany and the Loire, not so much the assembly!

And painted. Very nice to paint up they are. The deep holes in the chainmail, you just need a nice flowing wash.

More pics (and a cheeky ebay link) on my blog.
