Mostly involving building it nearly symmetrical then using a large file to fix it...  lol

Ahhh, I know that method all too well. ;)

:o  You mean there's another way?

Just need to tidy them up to night but it should give you an idea.Gun crew look ropey in the pic so I'll probably beat the loader until it understands whats expected of it.

BARV done.  Hatches shut so no crew...  I was going to leave one open... But turns out it's not a hatch... o_o

Bloody magnificent Rich! I’ve always wanted to see a BARV in this scale.  The Australian Army made their own, very similar version on a Grant hull.
Em dezembro de '81
Botou os ingleses na roda
3 a 0 no Liverpool
Ficou marcado na história
E no Rio não tem outro igual
Só o Flamengo é campeão mundial
E agora seu povo
Pede o mundo de novo

Thanks!

I'll hit it with some undercoat later and tidy up the scruffy bits around the glacis.  Going to add a load of stowage and ropes after paint.

This RMASG is a colourful lot: the Sherman is Olive Drab, the Centaurs are Service Drab and the BARV is Sea Grey.  Makes a change form Russian Green!

Playing around with White Ink pens too, they work pretty well.  I'm hoping to use them for the turret markings...  going ot make a jig to hold the pen.

(Missing a bit of tooth this morning and apparently I'm not allowed to use miliput to fix it.... off to the tooth-docs later.)

I am very impressed that you have done a BARV -  :-*

I think that is the first time I have seen a model of one.

Well I had 'Fox' as the RMASG Sherman OP tnak from when I started my Commandos but it was the wrong mark of hull, should have been a V but it was a M4.  Also the painted turret marking weren't very good.

So (as usual) the project got out of hand and I bought a proper V hull, but for some reason the RMASG Shermans had narrow mantlets and no applique armour, I guess because they were never intended for extended use.  So I nicked the narrow mantlet turret from 'Fox'.

This left me with a 'V' turret and M4 hull...  I was going to build a hybrid but then I thought a BARV would be more appropriate for D-Day and more use in a tank game (Bolt Action) as an ARV.  Not sure where they landed but they were all over the place on the beaches.

All this for one game in the Bolt Action Welsh Open in Cardiff (Tickets still avaialbe!) which is just for fun!

I've also got a spare Cromwell so I'm probably going to build a Centaur Dozer at some point (Like I need another project)

I think I'm going to open up the closed hatch on the Barv so I can add a commander.

I should add I also have a LCI and a Sherman Crab flail tank - with a working flail.

The ultimate plan is to build a pair of LCAs for the infantry as well.
