Printed the plans out yesterday and it's not too big.
It's also quite a simple beast, a 10mm thick deck (very little freeboard) with a raised bridge and bow.  The sides are simple steel sheet.

Plan is to use 10mm foamboard to block the hull then skin in cornflake packet.  I was originally going to laser cut it all but it's so simple it's not worth the effort!

I'll laser engrave/cut the deckplates form 2mm MDF to get the detail and provide strength.  I'll also laser cut the wheelhouse.  I'm also going to 3d print the fittings where needed.  I'll haev to track down a pair of suitable 20mm cannons - Polstens I guess?

Clocked them.  Might be useful.
Suspect they should be oerlikons though.

I like how you list a million unfinished things and yet plump for this idea - "It's already painted!" he says.. apart from all the stuff that's unpainted...

Just spend an hour shaving off the applique armour on a Warlord Sherman V and I've had to nick the turret off the older M4 kit to get the right mantle...

This is Fox of F Troop with the Centaurs in the background.

I'm going for H troop: The Centaurs were Hood, Hound and Hunter and the Sherman was Hussar.

I'm going to have to make the 95mm barrels and blank over the MG port on the Croms.

So should I mention the Rubicon Sherman V?

Though only WIP so far...

Obvs... lol

The Warlord one is OK, not amazing but passable.  Rubicon would be better but this will do for now.
The mantlet isn't right so I'll attack it with a file.

So I started with a plan to do the RMASG for a fun pairs game for the Botl Action Welsh Open.
I had a Sherman M4 painted as ‘Fox’ already so just needed a pair of Centaurs.

The plan so far is:
Build a LCT(A)
Build 2 Centaurs and a new Sherman V (M4 is the wrong hull but has the wrong turret)
Add Wading kits to them
Build Porpoise sleds for them
Build LCAs for the infantry
Commission crews for the above

Things do get out of hand rapidly…

I tried to work this out myself, but what is wrong with the Warlord mantlet?

Not sure if it was the parts choice when I put it together but the narrow mantle turret attachment is very sharp edged when it should be cast.  I've found a much better version on the Churchill frame (NA75 version) so I've pried the old one off and added the better one.  Just needs a bit of filler.

Oh and 2x centaurs are built...  Can't help myself when kits are sitting around unbuilt...  Printing off dome Bow MG covers and I found 2x 95mm howitzers in the spares from my 3x Churchills.

I had to cut off most of the mudguards on the croms, the centaurs were very basic!
