AT-43 UNA, THERIANS, & KARMANS IN LZ DAWGIE

 OVER the last couple of years i have been buying UNA troops and combat walkers
 ( two FIRE TOADS), all at full price, because i liked the way they both looked.



 i also liked the idea of the infantry being of "plastic" with swappable heads,
 torsos, weapons arms, and the fact that they were all nicely pre-painted. all i
 have to do was unpack them and replace the infantry 30mm round plastic bases
 with 25mm round plastic bases, then do a bit of terrain work and THERE THEY
 WERE! LOCKED, COCKED AND READY TO ROCK in a couple of hours or less actual work time. sooo. now i have a 40 bod platoon of UNA WHITE STAR troopers armed with assault rifles and support weapons.


 the FIRE TOAD combat walkers were an even better deal as far as i was concerned. i got 2 FIRE TOAD variants with swappable weaponry, again nicely painted, mounted on 50mm round plastic bases for a bit more than the cost of 1 40K plastic dreadnought kit (which i had been considering), and all i had to do was a bit of terrain work on the bases and they, too, were LOCKED, COCKED AND READY TO ROCK!



 but never bought the boxed game because i did not plan on using the rules, and
 the boxed set was $70.00 USA or more full price. too much for my budget. THAT
 changed early this year when for less than the full price of one boxed game, i
 bought two of them earlier this year from THE WARSTORE. HUZZAH!


 as a result of these purchases, my UNA forces increased by 16 STEEL TROOPERS
 with laser guns and support weaponry, and 2 additional FIRE TOADS variants!


 not only that, but i also am the happy owner of some of the alien enemy:
 alien16 THERIAN golems (infantry) and 2 GOLGATHA combat walkers! the golems are
 nice, but the GOLGATHA is superb! there is something creepy about aliens out to
 kill ya wearing baby doll masks painted on the nose of their GOLGATHA combat
 walkers!


 in 2008 bought 9 plain jane UNA TACARMS (powered armor soldiers armed with 2
 heavy laser guns each and jump packs) for full price, and 3 UNA TACARM troopers
 armed with 2 rotary barrel HMGs for full prices. very nice, pre-painted models.


 earlier this year on sale i bought a box of 3 UNA SHOCK TACARMS (heavy flamers
 and powerlances), a box of 3 UNA JAM TACARMS (missile launchers and EMP guns) for $10.00 USA each and a TACARM LT hero box for about $4.50 (armed w/2 HMG w/rotary barrels). again these are very nice, pre-painted soldiers wearing
 powered armor.


 all of the TACARMS ar a bit larger than the new big 40K SM terminator armors and look more battle ready than the SM terminators armor which has all sorts of
pretty parade ground doodads and gegaws adorning them



 i sold some more toys recently, and after having a (huge!) debate with myself,
 i opted to buy the KARMANS (alien space apes!) instead of the human RED BLOK
 while these were on sale at THE WARSTORE. again i am very hapy with my
 purchases.


I shot through and bought 17 KARMANS wearing WENDIGO powered armors
 (1 hero CORNELIUS, two WENDIGO trooper boxes, and WENDIGO HQ boxes #1 and #2); the hero box was around $4.50 USA, and the other boxes were $10.00 USA each.much moe beddah than normal $24.00 USA per box for the HQ, rank and file WENDIGOs! .


 all of the RACKHAM AT-43 toys i have actually seen and touched are very nice
 right out of the boxes, but, i have now gone completely space ape over the
 KARMANS! not only do they come pre-painted right out of their boxes wearing the
 traditional DAWGIE BLUE AND WHITE paint scheme on their armor, but these guys are bristling with attitude and fierce face, armed to the teeth!


 infact when i plonked them down on the table to look them over, one of my
 veteran 40K SPACE ORK SKAR BOYZ (who was getting some first aide) went brown pants! having become acustom to towering over very large ork boyz, he suddenly found himself looking up at the KARMANS! GORKA-MORKA!


 the KARMANS are around 50mm tall from powered armor boot sole to the top of
 their spikey gorilla hair heads! most are standing tall, but a few are standing
 in what we think of as typical gorilla at rest stances. all of them (except the
 heavy weapon troopers) have 4 "Z-Z RIFLES" attached to their armor (2 on each
 forearm), power armored hands, and have cantalope sized hand grenades adorning
 their weapons harness. faces are all different, too! all have jump packs.
 stripped down to his fur, i would say the average WENDIGO trooper easily weights
 400 pounds USA.


 the heavy weapons troopers are KARMANS armed with either huge bore, magazine fed
 grenade launchers, or big bore, drum fed HMGs. all of these KARMANS have those
 cantalope sized hand grenades on their harnesses, too.


 KARMAN hero CORNELIUS will never pass for RODDY MCDOWELL's mild mannered CORNELIUS the scientist: like all of the other KARMANS, his mouth is agape revealing enough big teeth and fangs to make one of DA BOYZ envious! again he is bristling with attitude and fierce face.


 i was soo pleased with this lot that i bought 8 KARMANs (2 boxes) wearing YETI
 powered armor while they were on sale for $10.00 USA per box instead of the
 normal $24.00 USA per box!


 HELL, i even bought the KARMAN ARMY BOOK while it was on sale to learn more
 about these guys before profiling them for my CR and 5150 games.


 DAWGIE highly recommends the AT-43 toys he has actually laid eyes and hands on. these are the best looking pre-paints i have ever seen short of having some one contract paint for me (which i have occassionally done over the years). i
 should point out that although i am not GOLDEN DEMON AWARD competion painter, i have painted 1,000s of toys in all scale for folks since 1977, and all of my customers were very happy with the work they got for the good money they paid me.



 HTMG has some of the RED BLOK humans and he can better speak about them than i can.



 DAWGIE, off to the kitchen to get a big yellow banana for a snack . . .

how big are the bases of the Karmans? been eyeing them up, but need a good judge of size...

When I was in HMF I used to play around with a blow up T72, used for target practice, but it never looked as good as that. We used to take around schools for displays and such, the kids would have liked yours better.
Anyway back to the real thread.
All sounds very good but as you can tell we would all like pictures to drool over please.
