I'm being drawn back to it and wanting to look at completing my Covenanter army and moving onto doing an army for Montrose as well.

I'm being drawn back to it and wanting to look at completing my Covenanter army and moving onto doing an army for Montrose as well.

I turned down a really good deal on a half dozen WG Scots box sets because I didn't want to invest the time in another ECW army...

The Covenanters are a great force to collect as you can morph them to fight all of the other participants in the ‘ECW’:

- Bishops Wars English
- Northern Royalists
- all the other Royalists!
- Montrose
- Irish Confederates
- New Model / Commonwealth

All of these provide some interesting campaigning and different challenges for both sides.

Then, as said above, you’ll have such an interesting collection of 17th century stuff you be made not to move on to the TYW
