American marines circa 1900
«

Just got these back from the mould maker, first castings of the American marines in Peking / Boxer rebellion.
Their are four figures [at the moment] Standing firing, kneeling firing, advancing and loading rifle.
We do have an officer [Cpt. Heston] but not quite ready yet.
In the pipeline are French sailors and officer, New British marines and officer plus British ambassador [David Niven] and that Russian lady [Ava Gardner]. All in the next month or so.

Checked out your shop and that is a great range of Boxer figures - especially like the shot detail set and wish someone made similar in 15 mm.
The new US Marines look good below that hat but something seems 'off' about the hats but I think they'll look fine painted.
A bit jealous at some of the other elements in your range - like those personality packs and a few other details. But then I have the spectacular Blue Moon 15 mm range sitting awaiting paint so I think I'll survive.

Keith T, great looking figs, great range. I’ll have to add some of this range for my Boxer Rebellion collection.
FifteensAway, I felt the same about the hats, a bit off the shape I’m used to.
Beautiful range nonethe less.

Nice looking figures, just the right amount of detail and chunkiness.

Ok got round to painting some up and the officer Captain Heston, these would be suitable for fighting Mexicans, Spanish etc. All available from

Keith, those really look great painted up! I’ve already got some USMC but will have to get one unit of these as well. I love the detail of the long sleeve undershirt.

Someone on TMP pointed out that you could use them for the 1914 invasion of Veracruz but painted in Khaki, sorry don't know my American history just passing on the info.
Question for you all, should I do a bugler and/or standard bearer?
Not sure many countries carried standards into battle at that time, also would you like to see more poses such as marching?

By 1914 I think most wore Montana hats on campaign.
