I'll have another look at the Horde faction. I am liking several of the unit options for The Wild, the swarm (using a mix of spiders, centipedes and rats) the Hunter, and the Shapeshifters (thinking of small fire elementals erupting from the Salamanders!). But a lot of the battle board is very much around shooting, which I don't have a lot for, I might add some hobbits as a unit of shooters, but not entirely sure. I quite liked the idea of creating a titan from an area of terrain - but its slow speed, means this needs a huge number of dice to work, and you take a lot of fatigue into the melee.

The horde board adds some interesting abilities - more speed on charges will be good! But the various special units don't fit very well with my figures.

Ice Golems



I've left these glossy to represent the ice, and put some snow around their feet.

Frost Giant


This figure was largely painted by my daughter, so I'm not sure about adding some more highlights and doing some tidying up, or to leave at as she did it.

Not sure if these are a bit dark, and if they could do with another lighter shade on top?

I think these guys are done, might give them another coat of mat varnish to dull them down further.
