Inspired by the posts from Shipka and from Emir, even if early than my period of interest , i find those plates from Raffet which, according to the guy who posted in this  Italian blog, accompanied the Austrian Army in Italy

Very timely, as my side in the forthcoming project will be the Austrians.

I really like the style and detail of those plates, they really capture the character of the individuals.

Excellent find. Mr Barber will need to sculpt some bigger moustaches! ;)
