That is a surprise, I have most of their Russian vehicles and they are brilliant
I have the BMD (WIP here:https://ultravanillasmurf.blogspot.com/search?q=bmd&max-results=20&by-date=true) and it is okay, I have not finished it yet. That was much better (the running gear is good Warlord quality).

The BRDM suffers from poor axle design.

The Ferret is a lovely kit (https://ultravanillasmurf.blogspot.com/2018/05/hlbs-british-ferret-armoured-car.html), there are a few air bubbles that need fixing. Almost Empress quality. Great axle design (this has not been glued together https://ultravanillasmurf.blogspot.com/2018/06/hlbs-british-ferret-armoured-car-part.html)

The Spartan is more poor Warlord quality, white metal running gear that does not appear to match the lower hull design plus separate wheels with no indication of where they go.
Bits and pieces photographs here: https://ultravanillasmurf.blogspot.com/2019/07/hlbsco-spartan-apc.html
I have not got round to trying the running gear of my second Empress Scimitar  (ignoring the difference in scale) against the HLBS hull. If that works, I might ask if I can buy a set of the Scimitar running gear.

And now back to our regular programming....

I guess you agree the skirts need smoothing.

The turret bustle basket looks a bit odd, as does that front road wheel.

It is definitely Centurion shaped.

These orders of battle are very useful.

They also help me to focus on developing the collection in a systematic way.

It still requires a bit of work, but I think the imperfections on the main body can be hidden under some camo netting.

Cheers buddy, I should have both Brit and Ruskie infantry platoons painted within a month, plus a good chuck of the armour.

Is it just me or are those Soviet helmets a bit too conical?

I think they are meant to be wearing the SSh-68 helmet which is notably steeper sloped and more conical than WW2 versions. The helmet appears to be quite correct, shapewise.

The Centurion would probably come up quite well with some camo netting. As others have said the turret basket is a bit odd but it’s generally Centurion shaped. My bigger question is why would you want one for a 1980s force? I would have thought it was all Chieftains by the mid 1970s, AVREs aside. I suppose if you are fielding Danes it might work
Em dezembro de '81
Botou os ingleses na roda
3 a 0 no Liverpool
Ficou marcado na história
E no Rio não tem outro igual
Só o Flamengo é campeão mundial
E agora seu povo
Pede o mundo de novo

This is why you will find the Centurions in the reserve slot of my British OBs, they have been pressed into service due to nesscessity  ;)
