A last note: West Point cadet uniforms are based on Scott's brigade at Chippewa, hence most all private US military academies are too. Screw up as a teenager? Wind up wearing dress grays.
And the glorious general led the advance
With a glorious swish of his sword and his lance
And a glorious clank of his tin-plated pants. - Dr. Seuss

Thank you all very much for the very kind words.  I am glad you enjoyed these as they were a fun project and a labor of love for me.   I hope I am not trying your patience but I will be posting my British/Canadian forces next.  Also if you are thinking of starting in this overlooked period you may wish to check out my guide to starting wargaming War of 1812:

Thank you.

I certainly will check out your blog! I have been collecting a few figures for 1812 for a little while, although I was a little disappointed with the Knuckleduster range when I got some.
I am going to build a wargames army, a big beautiful wargames army, and Mexico is going to pay for it.
