Archer #1: "What are those many holes in the ceiling above us meant to be?"
Archer #2: "Oh, shi…*!"

Presumably ran out of anything else to throw.

Looking great - very nice fantasy vibe to the towers, like something out of an old Citadel compendium.

Damn that's looking good!

As mentioned before, looks like something out of old Citadel splash pics!

Cheers  Chaps,
Trying to keep motivated with this side project. So it's always  nice to hear it's going in the right direction.
Your spot on with the look .As I'm aiming the whole project into a bleak and darker (some would say old fashioned) fantasy look.
I've managed to knockout a quick/speed painted unit of great swords.
The only thing I'm not sure about it the cavalry movement trays as they're slightly wider than I thought they'd be.( hence no static grass.)

Superb work!

And magnificent textured wallpaper.  If only it were available in the USA.  These patterns are the closest thing I’ve found:

Gorgeous results on those castle bits.  Something I'd love to attempt if given time.

Very nice weathering on the castle.

Finally got a refresher game in.
After the cunning plan on both sides failed. We spent most of our time.Reading rules and scratching our heads.

Sorry to one and all. I got carried away with actually having rolled dice. That I forgot to reply to posts before I added the pictures.

The only reason we ended up rolling dice( I can't in all honesty  call it an actual game. As it had more in common with trying to translate Latin with your eyes shut .Than an actual game )
Is I remembered I'd just over a hundred Citadel Norman's painted, with a handful of of gripping beast thrown in for good measure.
Which would work as Britonian Allies for the dwarves.,and Proxy/levied troops for the empire.
So to get it feel like a bigger game we used a 4'×4' board narrowing down to a bottle neck of 2'8".
Total and utter chaos ensues and we're let drinking more beer and watching  Zulu.

Pre Pandemic I did a take on 'Guards Guards!' Over the last week I've been trudging through painting my 'Watch'.Over on my Workbench thread.
However it seemed more appropriate to add a progress update to my Fantasy thread than my Workbench. As these haven't gone smoothly .( Including an encounter with the Window cleaner.)
