When I look at the pictures, I can't help wondering what proportion of the 22,000-odd figures were Perry sculpts. Certainly a lot of the British and French infantry around Hougoumont, and seemingly a substantial proportion of the cavalry too. It wouldn't surprise me if plastic miniatures had doubled or even tripled the stock of painted 28mm miniatures, making it easier to stage a vast game like this. Quite an accomplishment. :-)
I’m speechless. This is simply amazing though it seems also to be on the verge of unplayability when I look at the amount of tables and the spaces between them.
Casualty removal was also brilliantly coordinated. Each model and group had a code on its base that related to which player and box so when it was "killed" a helper came along with a box, removed the casualties and took them over the "field hospital" where they were packed away in their own box.
Thanks guys. Sounds like a brilliant event. Interesting also to hear about the level of organization.
