Peninsular War Battlefield Tour - Ciudad Rodrigo
« on: July 16, 2019, 01:50:01 PM »
The city of Ciudad Rodrigo featured large in the events of the Peninsular War and was laid siege to by French and Allied armies.

In this third post in a series looking at the places visited this summer, touring key Peninsular War sites, I take a look at the city and what can still be seen today.

You provided such a breathtaking story of the place, adorned with so well-taken pictures, a fine piece of writing, for which I am grateful! Cheers!

Thank you for your comment. I like writing these accounts of visits as much for my own understanding as anything, so it’s really great when others enjoy the post as well.

Cheers
