Glad you like it, Rick.

In keeping with your observation about oddly shaped bases, maybe go with that if you decide to put your trees on a base. By the way, did you glue your canopy pieces onto the branches? I did not, but I have a couple that seem to jump off. Not all of them have that issue, just a couple. I've been considering some super glue to fix their wagon. Just curious if anyone else had that happen.

Looking forward to seeing your painting of those Bloggard.

Andrew, most of mine are fine without gluing but a couple do like to pop off on occasion. I had not considered gluing them. One was broken on arrival, with the post stuck in the branches/leaves piece. I tried hot glue but I did not do a good enough job and it later broke off. So I superglued it in frustration to quickly sort it out but in hindsight I think I should have used a more flexible glue to maintain that bouncy durability.

ah right, confused.

thought the Toyvain stuff came pre-painted: looks like it in the Amazon listings.

But read your blog entry now ...  ???

If they arrive looking like the listing, I'd be quite happy with that tbh.

* yeah ... looking more closely at the listing 'details' they're described as 'green' as per GG's pics.
hmm, that's a bit naughty, to say the least.

I am pretty sure they did not arrive painted but in hindsight they could have had a wash as that’s what it looks like in the listing photo.

I hope Grumpy Gnome doesn't mind, but just thought I'd clarify, having had my small and medium sized trees delivered today: the colouring is just as the Amazon listing pics. A vaguely washed brown and green.
So no complaints there.
I think a quick wash with some Contrast paints, and a possible dry-brush and that'll do me, if anything at all.

Seem like they 'keep' a good manual 'bend' as far as the branches go (they do indeed arrive 'flat) so hopeful I wont have to do the hot water thing, and if pushed very firmly down, I don't feel the leaf clusters are going to come off that easily - but YMMV.

I never mind clarification mate.

Citadel contrast paints could be a quick and effective method.

Nice painting on the trolls. That came out quite well. The forces of Sauron are growing I see.

Very nice, have been looking for some Ridgeback miniatures myself but they don't have a store?

I found them and dealt with them on Facebook but that was quite some time ago. I also got some Laketown and Game of Thrones inspired minis from them but have not gotten around to painting them yet. I wish now that I had gotten their Nazgul inspired minis.
