Well, one always fights heroes with quantity. Death by a thousand cuts, or perhaps the one cut out of a thousand that you can't block?

Plus, those who kill heroes may very well just be heroes on the rise and you don't know it yet lol. Either way, I stand by my assertions. Heroes aren't meant to be killed off by level one skeletons in 1:1 combat. If they can be, they simply aren't heroic enough for my tastes.

Our next battle report, my Dwarves get ambushed by Wargs as well... it does not go as I expected....

I have a bad case of prescient nostalgia. The future's not what it used to be.

Thanks mate! Strength 6 can open up Dwarven armor pretty easily.

He certainly screwed my BC up the first time round. Nice looking game too, although I am not a giant fan of the PJ/GW/Weta aesthetic , those wargs look preety cool en masse.

Fun battle report. It was certainly looking dire there for a moment.

Thanks! I am pleased to hear people enjoy the report. Considering Snorri’s past performance I was quite surprised. It certainly feels to me more like a party than just a couple of lead heroes and some support troops now.

Thanks! Build weekend rather than playing so it will be a bit before the next battle report but it always helps motivate to hear when people enjoy our work.

The results of the build weekend... most going to EBay or gifts to friends.

That big hill is quite impressive. What is the overall footprint on that? I'm somewhat assuming the graves are something like 1x2" which would make that hill maybe 8x8"? It is impressive looking!

Love the hill...much more interesting than the usual mounds you see on most tables.

Are the graves meant as markers for fallen characters?

Great reports as usual. Had to do a bit of catching up but it was a good read!

Happy to see the Elves unsheathe their blades once more, they were liable to get rusty from being unused for so long! Are the Dwarf and Elf warbands going to team up against the Cave Drake, or is it a race to the end?

I like your new Dunlending warriors, very sword & sorcery. I think there's room in LOTR for a little 80s flair!

I am glad you liked them mate!

At this stage we are not planning on fighting the Cave Drake together but that could change, especially if we both lose on our first attempt.

80‘s sword and sorcery.... good way to put it! I am thinking Carn Dum Hillmen rather than Dunlendings at this stage. I have an idea for Dunlendings a bit different than what folks may usually expect. Celtic but with a little surprise.
