I have been getting second thoughts about the type 61 tank I'm using, the twin barrel deal in the picture below.
This is pretty spot on for the modern way of doing the type 61, sometimes called the M61A5 in materials.
See in the original series the type 61 looked like this:
And I've just acquired 3d files from one of the old games for it, which are quite good. I would still need to re-draw it all to make it perfect, but having that guide helps a lot.
Its a lot sillier and 80s but on a battlefield filled with 20 meter tall robots, the bit of added height isn't so strange a deal. The proportions also just have a lot more charm to me.
