Really like the wrecked truck and the Pirates.
I am going to build a wargames army, a big beautiful wargames army, and Mexico is going to pay for it.

2019 Painting Challenge :
figures bought: 500+
figures painted: 57
9 vehicles painted
4 terrain pieces scratchbuilt

Thanks. Due to the recent clear-out the outstanding pile of unpainted Pirates is
down to a manageable number. It could be one of the mini-projects I get to
work on over the winter. Pirates are always fun to skirmish with. I am thinking
of using Fistful of lead, though I do have the Osprey rule set.

Today a Greek theatre.
Another really useful piece. It could be an ancient theatre or part of a town centre.

Codsticker. It got its first outing this week, as some of the pupils (at the school club)
wanted to do Greek mythology.  8 Hoplites (between 4 of them) quickly modified
Fistful of Lead QRS & a few cake decoration pillars, oh & two 54mm Hoplites, who
posed as statues. The lads were really happy when the statues came to life (first
joker to be drawn from the pack). They want to do it again (good sign).

Wonderful thread. Great painting on those ellies.  I have been meaning to ask, who makes the renaissance figure that guest stars in a lot of your pics?

Thanks Hu Rhu.
Unfortunately I don't know the manufacturer, I have the habit
of picking up nice price figures at shows. He came from Col.
Bill's bargain box & set me back 50p.

Wow........I have loved going through this collection of pictures !  You are pretty bloody mad but I love the eclectic collection and there are some real gems in there!

I love the snapdragon Dwarf Tower, lovely piece.  Some fascinating Far East pulp pieces and your elephant herd looks cool.

You have remembered me once again I have a big collection of unfinished pirates myself....having once started a thread on here......maybe I may get inspired to have another go...who knows.

Keep posting, I’m sure you’ve more yet tucked away.....

Thanks Digits. You would think with all the stuff I have sold/ passed on there would
be vast empty shelves & boxes... Not the case I'm afraid. Clutter, clutter & more clutter.
Trouble is I want to do it all, & I want to do it right NOW!!!!
I am learning, slowly, that it is better to finish things. Mini projects are the way. Do a bit
here & a bit there, then play with it on the table with mates.
I shall now quietly put away my soap box & take some more blue smarties.

I know the feeling.  Looking forward to coming and gaming with you guys.....but I know it’s bad for my wallet!  I will end up starting new stuff!

I am sitting on a tonne of stuff myself...some of which I need to sell to make room.  My problem is I hate to part with stuff I’ve bled over!

Two more animals for Askari (WW1 East Africa).
Both from charity 'odd toys' boxes. 50p each,
they wanted 10p, but I haggled them up.

Needed a quick/cheap set of graves for a Fistful of Lead game at
the school's club. A few Ice Lolly sticks & a little time & they were ready.
