We did start doing a new grave marker for each Western
figure that died at the School Club's games.
Trouble was Boot Hill kept getting BIGGER !!!!  lol

Helping my wife tidy up the garden & part off a square
planter's rim had broken away. I offered to glue it back,
but the wife was quite happy with the way the green thing
(I don't do gardening) was trailing over the broken edge.
'Just bin it' she said. Sometimes I just think she does not
really know me.
Anyway here it is in its new incarnation as a bit of scatter
terrain. Good cover for someone.

Also one of the solar powered downlighters, that
was clamped to the conservatory guttering had
come off. Probably one of our fat pigeons sat on it.
It had long since ceased to work, I just hadn't
bothered to get the step ladder out & detach it.
'Chuck it in the bin' my beloved cried, then paused.
My sad/shocked visage changed her mind, 'Keep it
then' was the mutter as she carried on playing with
'green' things.
After a bit of work we have...
A Sci-fi hut.

I’m surprised we have yet to see a conversion of your recycle bin?  Clearly you don’t need it for putting rubbish in? Lol

I like the hut!

Already had a similar thought. Decades ago, when Judge Dred
(the game) was young, someone made two hab-blocks out of
a bin cut in half.
As you know though, the killer of many ideas is...
where the heck do I store it? :?

Considering your output, storage is definitely a consideration!   lol

Feel free CC. Love to see what you & others do.
The group I was in (years ago) were admiring a display game
at a show, then it turned out their idea was inspired by something
we had done the previous year. And so the wheel turns again. :)

Much as I love what I have acquired, I have recently (sadly) needed to trim what I have. Interestingly enough your work has made the cut but mine... eh.    lol

Ah the Wargamer's dichotomy.
Storage space is finite,
while desire for figures/scenery etc, is infinite. :'( :'( :'(

It often amazes, surprises, and ultimately distresses me just how much room our room our hobby takes up. Not to mention the annoyance of family members... I had to laugh when you spoke about your wife's reaction - I just imagined your puppy dog eyes...  lol

Love the new builds - I must get out into the garden and see what I can find. A garden build slash recycling build sounds like a good challenge.

At Hammerhead I had intended buying more trees from Last Valley,
unfortunately by the time I had finished at my Trade at Table stall
(didn't sell nearly enough by the way) and rushed over with cash,
he was sitting happily eating his packed lunch...SOLD OUT!!! :'( :'( :'(

So... helping my long suffering wife in the garden, cutting back bushes
& some parts of the hedge when, it occurred to me...why not save the
'interesting bits' while cutting it all up to fit in our garden refuse bin?
Cue a look of' resignation/bemused/I'm dealing with a child' from wife,
but she let me continue.  I now have a bin bag of 'interesting' branch bits.
The germ of an idea is now forming. Somewhere in my stash are some
green scouring pads (rubberized horse hair is too difficult/expensive to source).
I must try & make some trees.

Wargamey work has taken a back seat for a while.
Wife's friend has a grandson, the same one that I
did a Dinosaur play table for a while ago. Well, he is
now into playing Farms & a Barn was requested.

I did try cheating & getting something (ex-Britains)
off e-bay, but despite several near misses I got zilch.
So keeping the budget right down I sorted possible
building material from the Garage.
Found a couple of knackered speakers. Fairly solid,
so one of them formed the basis.
984 & 5 = The speaker
986 = Most of the work done still no doors though.
987 = Should point out 'Grannie' is a Coventry City FC (The Sky Blues) supporter.
Their Old Ground...  Highfield Road. Thought it fitted in with the theme.
988 = A replacement tile, painted up as Cov's Away Strip.

989= A view of the 'hole'. This will allow him to place figures 'upstairs'
994= ladders, so that said figures can get upstairs (no stairs you see)
These were cut out of an old shelf mat.  Soft and bendable, so safe.
990= View of the Sky Blue (Cov. FC) roof and the doors in place.
991= Close up of the doors. They do open. My big(?) problem was finding
that many tiny screws, & not dropping them on the floor.
992= Door open & showing the graffiti on the inside.
993= Finished in all its glory.

Hope he likes it, & the boxes of animals, chicken coop, pig sties, ponds etc etc
that I DID manage to score off e-bay.

Now back to smaller (wargames) scale things.
