So much stuff on this thread! Your wife sounds a lot like mine, and I have exactly the same reactions you described at the mere suggestion of throwing stuff away. I don't have a processing-pup, just four cats, whose only contribution seems to be cat fur on just-painted stuff and chewed and thrown-up leaves which I just cannot bring myself to try to dry out and use for anything.
Bits of (unused) cat litter ARE useful, though.  :D

Real life has been getting in the way of making stuff,
but here are some additions to my African animals.
Most came as a bonus. Picked up some e-bay farm
animals (for the grandson of a friend of the wife's)
and these came with the cows, sheep, pigs etc.
A removal of (most) cast lines, a repair or two &
a tart up before the basing.
The last 3 pictures are the two more I found when I
went to add the finished ones to my stock. Ain't that
always the way?  :-[

Excellent!  I like them.

A matte spray could make them look less toy-like and more natural.

They did get a Matt spray, but by then it was getting dark & I didn't take
any more photographs. I must/might take a group shot of 'Africa'

Then some graves.
Tried out a new, well new to me, product. Gel with grit in it.
I am quite pleased with it as it gives a little bit of texture.
Dry brushing picks it up nicely. Flatpack put me on to this.

Also trying Mod Podge (glue) & I like that too. Glogotha
put me onto that.

I love this forum  :)

...& here is where they end up finished.

Minor hic-up when I put the writing onto the graves,
only to find that on one CD I had written, very carefully.
on the backs of the gravestones! :o

Ah well , redo & move on.
