Snitchy.      Thanks mate.

Flatpack.     I do still think of them as Dave's as I did very little on them.
                  Credit where it is due.

Some progress on the 15mm Ancients (for a friend) front.

12 bases, 4 figures a base. That is a lot of shields & spears to glue on.
Imitation legionaries for his Greeks. His suggestion to include some
Hellenistic figures to make them look more 'imitation' & less 'Legionary' :D

Hope he likes them.

Nice job.

Yup, for Simon.
Next on the painting table are the subject Assyrians.
After them it is just the Sparabara (though there is a lot of them!)

I will still have 15mm Persians etc. (unpainted) that will be of no use to me,
& I think Simon will (by then) have enough figures, but I will
offer them to him first.

If he doesn't want them, is anyone else interested (before they go on e-bay) ??? ??? ???

The subject Assyrians, camel core & some archers.

Now just the Sparabara (lots of them)  :?

Very nice!

Thanks. While doing these I have been whinging about how how fiddly it all is,
what with my fat fingers & poor eye-sight... then Vodkafan & I are starting to
raise armies for Soldiers of Napoleon (SoN) in 10mm !!!! ;D ;D ;D
Well there will be far fewer shields & spears to glue on. :D

Recently played an Ancients game using  tweaked Lion Rampant rules.

https://leadadventureforum.com/index.php?topic=137537.0

Due to a poor filing system (mine) I could only find/field a 10 figure warband,
& not the 12 I should have provided. Well now found & quickly painted two
more Gauls. Unit now up to its proper size, 12 figures.

They look a LOT better across the table  lol

While sorting out, from the Lead Mountain, possible figures for
my up coming DBA Goth Army, I found some resin standing stones
(Fenris castings I believe). In keeping with this years motto (Use it
or loose it) I DIDN'T put them back in the box, but painted & based
them. Did similar to a Celtic Cross (metal pendant) which I based on
several discs, to raise its height.
Hope you like. :)

The pendant idea is inspired... Like the new stones too.

The 15mm ancients look useful. I have always wanted to do something in 15mm. I used to play Boer War in 15mm with my brother. It is a scale I still want to get into, the question is what?

May I suggest Peter Pig's AK47
I refer the first version copies of which can be picked up on e-bay (I bought
a copy for £5 this week, as a reserve)
It gives a fun game & you can make a couple of 'Armies' quite cheaply using
bits off e-bay. e.g. a tank is... a tank under the rules, so if you can pick up
a cheap Tiger, Sherman, T55 or whatever, that is what your (Imaginary) country
is equipped with.
You can paint stuff any colour you like. If you want a challenge then go for a
Tiger Stripe uniform, if not then a sandy colour with a dark brown wash & the
unit is about finished.

Long live the cause of Southern Zumri independence.  :D
